Sports Therapy/Core Strength Hands-on experience is a crucial component when providing sports care. Having worked closely with numerous sports teams, like the USF Dons, and orthopedists, we have created a unique way to evaluate problems, figure out how to correct them and give exercises and therapy to reduce pain. We also focus on a highly specialized approach to Core Strengthening. Core strengthening is our way of improving ligament structure in the pelvic area. Most chiropractors give all of their attention to strengthening the muscles and adjusting joints. But we like to go one step further and work with the true foundational “core” of the body. The ligaments in the pelvic area are very important; they are where we hold a lot of our body weight every day. When we stand they are tight and give support to the hips. And when we sit they will expand a little to handle the compressive effects of body weight. Sometimes sitting for extended periods of time allows the ligaments to weaken, creating on overall weakness in the core and lower back pain Our specialized approach to Core Strengthening will improve the chronic back issues, sports performance and reduce potential back injuries.
